Lyons Cub received two different Hot Wheels race tracks for Christmas 2023, the Jungle Kingdom race track from his aunty and the corkscrew crash race track from mommy. While they both are fun to play with, the former is a quiet toy for one player at a time while the latter is rather noisy and competitive (for three players with a car each, and even more cars can be fed into it) and much faster (and runs with 4 D batteries, so make sure you have those–or better, get accus to charge in a charging station, like we have, because it saves money in the end). Careful, the cars do eventually crash and fly through the room 😉 The owner of the car that stays in the tracks longest wins.
Both race tracks take up quite a bit of space in our room (more than a square meter)! Below, you can see an excerpt of Lyons Cub’s Hot Wheels City. The race tracks are in a different corner of his den in the attic, whereas the city components are in front of our TV (where we play wii Mario Cart). Since we’re already at it, Lyons Cub would like to show off some of his Hot Wheels City parts, such as the crocodile attack racetrack:
The Hot Wheels crocodile city attack is a rather small part that always functions well. It connects nicely with other components and tracks and shoots the cars out of a pizzeria through one loop onto a different track. The blue T-rex, by comparison, is a much greater challenge, and both children and adults won’t have an easy task getting the car to run off the back of the dino’s tail. Most of the time, the cars get stuck or fall off in the loop already. It certainly takes more skill than many of the other Hot Wheels City components.

Lyons Cub has a few more attractions in his Hot Wheels city, such as the shark garage, the Robo T-Rex garage, the shark port color shifters, and the toxic gorilla slam. He also likes to play with his T-Rex Attack red dinosaur and his “crab thing” (it’s the Dangerous Scorpion Attack) with the flexible tail that he has connected to the Robo T-Rex parking garage:
