Who we are

We are Lyoness and Lyons Cub, a German/American family from Tennessee.

The goal of our website is to offer a “Lyons Club” (a free one, without fees 😉 ) to other moms, who might go through something similar or are looking for advice and company. We have a forum to exchange thoughts and find buddies.

Our website address is: https://www.lyonessandcub.com.

This is a Mom Blog about different topics of motherhood, such as infertility, IVF, NICU life, premature birth, IUGR diagnosis, marital life, mental health, vacations, pets, social life, education, finances, etc. We do NOT give medical, judicial, or financial advice; we just talk about what we personally experienced. We also explain which toys and activities worked best for us in our day-to-day life and provide photos and videos alongside our product reviews, in the hope our trials and errors will help other parents make a good decision for themselves. Occasionally, we welcome guest posts. If you are interested in writing one, please contact us through the contact form. We hope for interactivity and lots of comments from our followers with their stories.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Mom Blog is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or on our Mom Blog. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do NOT use or provide any information on this Mom Blog or on or through any of its features/register on the forum, make any purchases through the (affiliate) links, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Mom Blog or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use.

If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us through the contact form.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form and also the visitors’ IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

By the way, if you leave a comment and don’t see it appear immediately, that’s because Lyoness first has to approve it manually. That’s because we don’t want any penis enlargement ads on our mom blog! I will approve your post (it might take a while if we are in different time zones) if it is about the blog and doesn’t violate our netiquette (no spam, no derogatory, hurtful, racist, or sexist comments).

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Affiliate Disclaimer: Amazon Simple Affiliate (ASA2)

We use Amazon Simple Affiliate (ASA2) on our Product Review pages and some of our articles. Keeping this website updated, paying for SEO and plugins, acquiring guest posts and interviews, and maintaining the forum takes time and money, so we need to have a little side income, even if it’s just pennies. If a visitor to our site buys a product we advertise, we earn a small commission. We do not earn anything for your clicks.

Some of the sections of this site will allow you to purchase different products and services online provided by other merchants, and not us. Some of the links that we post on our site are “affiliate links.” This means if you click on the link and purchase the item, we will receive an affiliate commission.*

We are not responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, or any other aspect of these products and services. In addition, a merchant will likely have privacy and data collection practices that are different from ours. If you make a purchase from a merchant on their site or on a site that we have posted a link to, the information obtained during your visit to that merchant’s online store or site, and the information that you give as part of the transaction, such as your name, e-mail address, street address, telephone number, and credit card number, may be collected by the merchant and us. For more information regarding a merchant, its online store, its privacy policies, and/or any additional terms and conditions that may apply, visit that merchant’s website and click on its information links or contact the merchant directly.

MonsterInsights, Google Analytics, and SEO Analysis

We use MonsterInsights, Google Analytics, and SEO Analysis to match our content better to what our visitors are looking for. MonsterInsights is a plugin that allows us to add, customize, and manage the Google Analytics website tracking services on our WordPress site. Google Analytics is a popular, free web analytics service from Google that allows us to analyze in-depth detail about our visitors, thus providing valuable insights that can help shape the success of our web pages. SEO Analysis is the process of closely examining a website and its content to gain a better understanding of how well it has been optimized and what needs to be done to remediate its flaws.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

With whom we share your data

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
