Lyons Cub loves slime; for example, he also likes to play with his Orbeez slime kit. As a toddler, he even used to smear slime in his hair, to the great disgust of grandma 😉 Thus, when we went shopping at ALDI’s for our Easter dinner (asparagus, freshly harvested potatoes, and cooked ham), he saw a t-rex slime kit and put it into our shopping cart with begging eyes. Okay then, the slime dino will come with us…
This set comes with two kinesthetic toys: Slime and kinetic sand! There’s just a tiny amount of yellow magnetic sand, which the kid has to fill in a corresponding shape. It has no floor, so make sure you place the whole toy on a sheet of cardboard or a wax table cloth that can be cleaned easily! Another area is reserved for the green slime. Then, the child can stomp with the plastic dinosaur through those areas. There’s also a palm tree. When you snap it together, make sure that you put the yellow bottom part in between the two sides before you close them up. Once assembled, it was really hard to take them apart to insert the missing bottom part (* facepalm)
It’s really for toddlers, but my big boy absolutely wanted it and played with it while the relatives were eating their Easter cakes… And ALDI’s prices can’t be beaten, so it was really a small expense for a lot of fun. Comparable sets can be found on Amazon, such as this cute Magic Slime Dinorex Capsule. Of course, the dinosaur can be replaced by others and will join Lyons Cub’s herd of dinosaurs.
