For this year’s carnival in the Rhineland, Lyons Cub needed two costumes — one that was kindergarten approved (Rainbow Friends Blue costume) and one he could go to the big carnival parade through Langenfeld with (Rainbow Friends Green costume). The latter had blood spatter 😉 Actually, we liked the green costume better than the blue one, for a very practical reason…
The green costume has a tiny zipper in the front, so a boy can actually go pee without having to ask somebody to unzip the long zipper on his back! The only thing that we didn’t like was that one couldn’t see very well through the cut-out eyes since the spacing was not the same he had. We noticed that when Lyons Cub was trying to pick up the candy thrown from the floats during the parade in town — he didn’t quite see them all when they were lying about the street 😉 But no worries, mommy and the others helped him collect the goodies. Also, he was able to pull up the mask in the front to eat a pretzel and to see the popcorn bags he was trying to catch. He just couldn’t see well at an angle what was to the left and right.
Again, we chose size 130 for a 6-year-old, and it fit perfectly well, even with his ordinary clothes beneath it. In addition to the green costume, Lyons Cub also got a green jacket featuring all the monsters from Rainbow Friends. If he got cold during the carnival parade, he was able to wear it in addition. The jacket is made of nylon, too. The colors are very lively; one just has to be careful not to pull a thread. It has a zipper in the front and a hoodie. All in all, just what little Roblox fans love 😉
