At some point in time, every little kid has to make the experience of going to the dentist. What better way to prepare for it than by playing with a playdough dentist set… 😉 Lyons Cub got a cheap, small version from ALDI. It contained a mouth, a mold for a tongue, a mold for four teeth at a time, a drill, a toothbrush to squeeze out toothpaste, and pink and white playdough. In addition, you could make braces with a thin line formed out of the pink playdough and stick it to the teeth.
We added some more colors to the game; after all, it is more fun to use brown or black playdough to form cavities with than the pink that came with the package. If you integrate other playsets, you can do role play with a real story. For example, Lyons Cub also has the cupcake playdough set, and he could play having eaten too many sugary cupcakes without brushing his teeth, and then go to the playdough dentist… 😉 Open your mouth wide, aaaahhhhh…..
