What’s it like to get a visit from Saint Nicholas on December 6th in Germany?

Saint Nick had come to us in 2021 and in 2022, and this year, when he came, he was rather worried that Lyons Cub might not believe in him anymore. However, Lyons Cub maintained earnestly that in kindergarten, the “wrong” Saint Nick had come (that was just a man in disguise, to fill the children’s stockings with apples, clementines, and chocolate) and to our house, the “real one” will come. He still hasn’t recognized his uncle’s voice… but Uncle Tutti disguised himself so well that hardly anything of his face was visible. See for yourself:
He also changed his voice, so clueless Lyons Cub was in awe that the “echte Sankt Nikolaus” had come to him again. (Lyons Cub’s reasoning behind that is that the “real” Saint Nick has a staff, and the wrong one doesn’t!!!) Thus, while mommy played “Lasst uns froh und munter sein” on daddy’s grand piano, the holy man came walking through the corridor. Leander’s friend Giuliana and her little sister Emilia were there, too, and the youngest one danced to the music while Leander was banging a cooking pot with a spoon as the “little drummer boy.” He was wearing his Santa’s helper’s disguise, by the way:
Emilia was eating candy from the Hansel & Gretel gingerbread house Lyons Cub and mommy had made this year. Almost every year, we baked a witch’s house. In 2018, it featured a Snoopy instead of Hansel and Gretel. The first two witch’s houses were ALDI kits, but the following ones were of custom made gingerbread plates by mommy’s friend from her work place, and we just stuck on the candy:
Meanwhile, the others were paying attention to the names Saint Nick read from the parcels, so that the right gift was given to each person.
