For his first birthday, Lyons Cub got a slide that transforms into a motorcycle rocker. This idea is actually genius, because it keeps the littles invested in their toy when they lose interest in one of its functions. My son liked the slide better than the rocker, but whenever he got bored, we just turned it around. It was super easy and quick to build (no tools required), and it is so small it can be stored away in a wardrobe or built-in cabinet, or you can take it apart for that in a minute. Size-wise, it’s perfect for a one-year-old. For older tots, the slide isn’t much of a challenge. We used it for our Early Intervention sessions for building balance and motor skills. You can set it up indoors or outdoors.
