This toy is actually genius for a half American, half German kiddo: on the top, he can play basketball, and at the bottom, soccer! Lyons Cub did both, just the middle part (throwing loops) wasn’t so interesting for him. He used it from ages 1-2.5, both inside and outside. This basketball hoop has seven different height settings from 2 to 4 feet and is still suitable for taller children. However, I think it would be too fragile for older kids and was just perfect for 1 to-3-year-olds. Color-wise, it fit really well into our light blue nursery. It came with a basketball and a soccer ball, and those are very small but fit nicely through the hoop. The basketball always deflated very quickly, but the accompanying pump fixed the problem. Also, we used our own balls, even the tiny ones from the ball pit. We started at the lowest setting for my short son, and then went a little higher each time. It was a nice challenge and lots of fun. Only one sticker ever came loose (the eye), but Lyons Cub couldn’t have cared less. It’s a fun and inexpensive toy for a young toddler. Shouting “GOAL!!!” was the best part of it!!!
Oh, my boys would have liked that when they were that age too!
