This was Lyons Cub’s first outdoor pool (and when it turned too cold to swim outside, we put it inside as a ball pen, so it has multiple uses!). It is very small and cute, and it would fit well on a balcony, too. (Here’s the snail version from Intex of this baby pool, just in case the fish is not being sold anymore.) I used an electric pump to inflate it, and it didn’t take long. The floor is nice and padded, because it also has an air-filled chamber, so it’s not like the usual pools that are very hard on the kids’ bottoms because they are sitting directly on the grass. I filled it with pre-warmed water just so it covered the ground. Adult supervision is necessary at all times.
Of course, this pool cannot contain much water and is just for splashing, not immersion. It had just the right size for a four-months-old. Alas, our cat Felix (a stray we had neutered and taken in) stabbed it one fateful night (RIP, sweet fishy), so we didn’t have it for long, but it happened at just the right time for Lyons Cub to transition to a bigger pool.
